This year has been so so busy. While my office outburst last year resulted in my saying goodbye to my 16-hour workday and 7-day workweek, my social life still hasn’t flourished. Yes. I had an outburst last year when one of my bosses pissed the hell out of me. It had something to do with a work he wanted me to finish instantly by dropping all the other things my superbosses asked me to do. The cockamamie boss’ instruction was unclear and what I had to do for the higher offices are far more important and urgent. Still, he scolded me for not prioritizing his. He shouted at me, so I screamed back. Haha. The hell! He doesn’t even know that I already was working 16/7 that time!
Anyhow, after that episode, they realized that I was the only one who was really working her ass out at the office. As they fear my burning out and leaving, they decided to delegate tasks. SOB! Had I not shown my anger, I would have been dead because of work by now! Haha.
But despite that, my 16/7 work schedule stayed the same and sometimes it even turns into 18/7 or 20/7!
Hello, pimples. Hello, eyebags. The culprit? Well, there’ s work. And there’s grad school.
While my outburst resulted in my having a better work schedule, I only felt the change after the Atimonan incident issue subsided. My superbosses then decided to make me focus on two of our office’s major mandates – interagency coordination and anti-organized crime operations, which are the heart of our work and which require much time and effort. (Hahaha. I feel that this post is truly rightful for my website.)
Still, my schedule at work by then was still way better than last year’s. So I figured that I could still squeeze in blogging, travelling, and schooling. Thus, I revived this blog, began realizing my dream of travelling to all the Philippine provinces, and enrolled in Master’s in Community Development in my beloved alma mater, the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Little did I know that such a decision tantamounts to suicide.
